What is a Prompt Battle?
A prompt battle is an event format where people compete against each other using text-to-image generative AI software (such as Midjourney).
Participants are given a simple assignment such as: create a humanoid animal doing some kind of work. Then, under a time limit, they will use text-based prompts to create the best possible result.
When the time is up, results are shown on a screen, and the audience can vote in real-time on their favorites. Participants’ screens may also be shown during the battle itself.
A Prompt Battle can be a feature of an event, conference, or company seminar. It can also take place at an exhibition stand at a trade fair as a recurring event throughout the day.
We handle all the practical details, such as getting people signed into Midjourney, setting up multi-screen streaming, technical assistance, hosting and facilitating as well as tallying the vote.

The Prompt Battle can feature as few as two (in a 1 on 1 battle) or up to eight participants.
The audience is as important as the participants, as they are needed to vote and cheer along the way. Ideally, at least 20-30 people should be in the audience.
-
Using Midjourney during a Prompt Battle is no different than the normal use case: You log onto the Midjourney server using Discord, and from there you can use text-based prompts to create AI-generated visuals.
The key difference is that we can turn this into an event format. We have a technical setup which allows for real-time screen streaming, voting, and more. We also have two fired-up hosts to create the right kind of mood and get the audience riled up.
But you really don't need to worry about the technical, practical stuff. We've got you covered.
-
Not at all! We will get all participants set up in no time, and we have a cheat sheet to showcase different prompting techniques and their results to get you going.
